User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Works great.
Works great with my Sony camera so now I can take lots of pictures. Kinda wish it came with the adapter though.

4 Stars Memory Stick
It is what it is…A memory stick. It holds about 720 pictures which is more memory than I’ll need. Great product.

4 Stars Good
Good for a short weekend trip. Enough space to record a few videos and around 1k pics

5 Stars Works well so far
Not much to say except works well. Certainly much better price on Amazon than in stores for a Sony brand.

5 Stars Easy to Remember-Memory Stick
Great, Reliable product. Sony has made its mark and this is one product that you are not simply paying for the name or logo on it, as other products. I bought several of these for my wifes camera for storage. It works and its at a great price you can’t beat at most places.

5 Stars this canon 500d is awesome
this is an entry level dslr but the features are comparable to a professional dslr and i’m only using an 18-200 canon lens. how much more if i am using the more expensive ones. I’m a point and shoot camera guy and i never had any problem with the shift to dslr because of the ease in operation of he camera. I did not regret buying this camera.

4 Stars Good product but bad seller!
It’s unbelievable to notice Amazon Customer service is bad! Yet another outsourced service! The rep, had no clue on matching the price-drop!

5 Stars Better than the first
I have had this camera for about 3 weeks now and I must say I love it. I purchased it to replace my older Canon Rebel 6.1 mp which I also loved and still do. (though its only a still picture camera) Its a great backup. This new Rebel T1i 15.1 mp has many options but what I really like is the HD video camera feature. No more bringing a separate video camera on vacation. This is a perfect all in one camera. I also bought the Canon 18-200 mm zoom lense which truly makes the camera and all in one. Its a little smaller than my old one and a lot lighter. The only thing that might not be 5 star would be the shutter sound. It’s kind of loud but not a turn off in no way. Just have to get used to. Having said that, once I shoot with my old camera (hearing the lack of sound) and then shoot with the new camera (more sound) I am finding myself liking the new sound better. The battery is smaller and lighter and seems to last longer except when using the video mode, then it goes pretty quick. Best to get a backup battery anyway, especially if your going to be taking alot of pictures or video such as on vacation. I also purchased to San Disk Ultra 11 16GB, works great with the video BUT my card reader doesnt work with it. I have to unload the photos/video using the cable. It unloads very fast just a little inconvenient.

5 Stars Canon T1i 15.1 very nice camara
When I was looking at cameras I read that the lens that comes with this camera was not very good. I bought the camera with the lens anyway. I figured that if I didn’t like the lens I could always get a better one. I have had a few days of picture taking in the New Mexico and Arizona areas. This camera and lens are great. The lens takes very sharp pictures from the balloon launch at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta to petroglyphs and close ups of petrified wood. I used my 75-300 zoom lens from my old Canon EOS film camera to shoot wild life at long distance and that lens worked great as well. The camera processes each shot so quickly that it can rapid fire without hesitation. Either the people who did not like the lens are much better at photography than I am or they don’t know what they are talking about.

5 Stars My first DSLR, love it
I used to use point-and-shoot cameras, produced many pictures which most time looks plain. My friend recommanded this one to me. Still learning, but overall very happy with it. Love a lot features. Highly recommanded for beginners like me.

5 Stars Very good seller and product, will purchase from again.
Shipping was very quick, received before the printer got here, good quality and works very well. great printer pak.

4 Stars Good stuff
This is a good product – i wish i didn’t have to keep buying more of it, but my wife loves this printer. And i guess i kinda do too.

5 Stars printing ink & paper
The value of this item is very good. It was a little hard to locate, but once I found it, this was the best price. Also very easy to install.

5 Stars Canon KP-108IN
Note that this item’s model name has been changed recently but I found no change in the product’s spec. This is excellent for printing 4″ x 6″ post card style with dye-sublimation printing.

5 Stars most cost-effective, excellent quality; some concerns
The most cost-effective paper and ink pack for the Selphy CP-series, comes down to about 27 cents per photo right now. The box contains three ink packs, each good for 36 prints, and six 18-photo-paper packs (The CP-760 can only hold 18 photos in its tray). Everything you need to print exactly 108 photos. The paper has Canon written on the back in light gray. The Canon KP-108IP Color Ink/Paper Set (note the “IP”) has postcard back but is harder to find.

These dye-sub packs print exactly the number of photos indicated, no more, no less, no matter the color coverage on the photo. The “ink” cartridge has a roll of 4-inch-wide film with 6-inch-long sections of each dye (yellow, magenta, cyan) followed by a clear coat, repeated exactly 36 times.

When printing, each dye layer goes over the photo and transfers the color to the paper using heat. Sublimation is vaporizing the “ink” from the film in controlled amounts, which is then deposited onto the paper. The printer lets you see the photo at each stage which is neat. The final layer is a plastic clear coat that makes it smudge-proof and water-resistant.

The result of this process is that the film inside the used ink cartridge ends up with accurate negatives of your prints in each color. That is why the cartridge can’t be reused, but that also means the photos you printed can be recovered from a discarded “empty” cartridge. If that is a problem then I suppose you can yank the film out and dispose of it some other way (not heat as it may cause the remaining dye to vaporize in the air you breathe).

5 Stars MOST MOST HAPPY!!!
This is my first scanner for home use. Words cannot describe how happy I am with my purchase. I bought this mainly to scan old family photos. Very easy to install, instructions easy to understand. Scanning was a breeze. The ICE technology feature to remove dust and to enhance the color is great as many of my photos have “lost” their color. I strongly recommend this scanner. I am NOT disappointed with my purchase.

4 Stars A great scanner at an affordable price
Despite me owning at least one digital body since 2001 I shoot mainly film and have done so for over 20 years. I recently invested in a rangefinder setup and my love for B&W film is stronger than ever. I had an all-in-one unit for a while. It was an HP PSC 2350 series and within a few weeks of me buying it, it would no longer load paper on its own and as is the case with all-in-one’s, the scanner quality left a LOT to be desired. Needless to say, when I moved this summer, it went out to the curb. Since I was wanting to shoot mostly B&W and I didn’t have the materials needed to develop my own at the time, I resorted to using chromogenic B&W films like Kodak BW400CN (which has a color-neg-like cast) and Ilford XP2 (which has no cast). Apparently Kodak’s cast makes for nice prints on mini-lab color papers whereas XP2’s true B&W neg tends to create a cast to the prints. In the end, I ended up buying more XP2 because I eventually want to make prints again and because I prefer its grain and its look. This is where my next snag presented itself. My local mini-lab. Any mini-labs for that matter. Their scanners also leave much to be desired. Here in Astoria I have been paying $6.99 per roll for mediocre scans. On more than one occasion I have had to take the negs back for re-scanning because several scans were messed up (usually un-centered ie. two halves of two exposures). One of the most annoying things was that the scanning section of his machine was pretty dusty and I would have to spend lots of time cleaning them up. If his scans were decent I might have been inclined to deal with the occasional bungle but they are not and I’m thrilled to move on.

I went to the store and got all I needed to develop my own B&W again. I had my sights set on saving up for a dedicated negative scanner like the Nikon Coolscan 5000 or 9000 but their price was just too high for me to be able to get one quickly so I began considering flatbeds. Coincidentally, I visited the local Staples with a friend and gave the scanner section a once over. The Epson caught my eye first and I compared it closely with the HP G4050. The HP was substantially larger than the Epson. One of the deciding factors was the inclusion of Digital ICE with the Epson. While rendered useless with B&W negatives, I do have a healthy amount of slides and color negs and after having heard so many positive reviews I thought it would be a very useful tool for my color stuff. I got it home and set it up quickly. The software took longer than expected to install but wasn’t too bad. Within 30 mins. I was scanning negatives with the included holder. Some frames would come out only half as tall as they actually were for some reason. It seems you can fool the scanner. I think it may be due to certain compositional elements that lead the scanner to believe the border of the neg is somewhere where it is not. Perhaps that is a place where a dedicated negative scanner would not falter but it’s nothing that a small amount of repositioning didn’t solve. I’m finding the neg holder to be adequate. I’m considering getting some anti-Newton ring glass inserts from [...] ([...]l) but for now, film curvature does not seem to be much of a problem. One thing that is nice about having a flatbed is that it can handle negs and prints up to 8×10. Having just borrowed a friend’s 4×5 Super Graphic, this is just the thing I need. So goodbye to the crappy, dusty mini-lab scans and no thanks to the expensive specialty labs in Manhattan. It feels good to be in control of my pictures again!

4 Stars Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner
I have owned 2 HP scanners in the past, the last being a HP Scanjet G4050 (two years old). When the HP began acting up while scanning negatives I used the opportunity to get newer technology. The HP has a large copy glass and you can copy three 4×6 prints or 16 negatives or five rows of film strip. However, copying more than a few negatives takes a very long time.

The reviews I read said to go to this Epson. The image quality is very, very good and is slightly better than my HP. It uses LED light technology and starts up quite fast. The only reason I didn’t give it all 5’s is because of the removable top plate & the slide & negative trays. They are very flimsy and a little hard to deal with. They should have taken a page out of HP’s book. Their removable top plate & trays are very robust and have no issues.

The Epson copy glass is smaller than the HP’s and you cannot get three 4×6″ photos to fit. Also, you can only place 4 slides or two film strips in the copy tray accessory. The top scanner LED only copies down the middle of the glass (about 2

Epson 78 Black Ink Cartridge T078120

Epson 78 Black Ink Cartridge T078120

Get beautiful prints without going to the lab, and enjoy brilliant photos for generations to come. Claria Hi-Definition Ink is a revolutionary new six-color, dye-based ink technology that delivers unsurpassed image quality and long-lasting results. Claria is tailor-made to fit the needs of the discerning photo enthusiast. It provides vivid, true-to-life colors with a wide color gamut that’s ideal for printing your best shots.

Because Claria Hi-Definition Ink is a dye-based ink set where ink is absorbed into the paper coating, prints are resistant to scratches caused by handling. You can share your prints worry-free.

Advantages of Claria Hi-Definition Ink

  • Quality without compromise–get beautiful photos made to last
  • Better quality than the lab
  • Smudge, scratch, water and fade resistant prints
  • Optional high-capacity cartridges that give you about 50 percent more prints per cartridge for only a few dollars more
  • You can share your photos worry-free knowing they’re smudge and scratch resistant
  • Prints stand up to humidity, moisture and spills
  • Durable prints are a life-saver when you’ve deleted the original digital file

  • The quick-drying formula allows prints to be handled immediately after printing. Many competitive dye-based printers require special paper for quick drying properties or require several minutes of drying time. Best of all, photos printed with Claria ink will last longer than traditional, lab-processed photos. And, they’ll even stand up to spills, smudges and fading. That means you can share and frame your favorite photos, or place them in an album-worry-free.

Prints resist damage related to high levels of humidity, moisture and water spills on Epson Premium Photo Papers. Water spills on a Claria Ink print can be rubbed off without ruining the print. With many competitive prints, this isn’t the case. Because Claria Ink is a dye-based ink set where ink is absorbed into the paper coating, prints are resistant to scratches caused by handling. This standard-capacity ink cartridge is compatible with Epson Stylus models R260, R380 and the RX580.

5 Stars Black ink cartridges arrived immediately
Arrived immediately and in good shape. Only problem was Amazon.com divided order for 3 different color cartridges up and sent it to 3 different vendors. One vendor still hasn’t got me the correct cartridges yet.

5 Stars It works the first time around
I have heard a lot of people say how the printer did not recognize the ink cartridges and I was a little worried; however, I had no problem with the printer or the cartridges. It worked fine and I am very pleased with the printer and the cartridges.

5 Stars Epson 78 black ink
Epson 78 Black Ink Cartridge (T078120)This is wonderful, same ink as you buy at Staples but cheaper. No driving to the store, no gas, less time away. Sometimes there is free shipping. What more could you ask?

    1 Star Not Happy!
I believe this product was defective as it ran out in less than a month. Other inks purchase and installed at the same time are still registering as nearly full. All previous carts last at least 3 months. My usage style has not changed. I had to buy a new cart elsewhere. Not pleased!

    5 Stars Well it’s black :)
    Well it’s black and it’s Epson…So it’s perfect.

I will be buying more soon if it stay’s at this great price.
