The Canon PowerShot SD780 IS camera fits in this leather case. Quality of the case is quite good. It should serve well for transporting the camera while protecting against bumps and wet weather. You might find cheaper, but you won’t find better.

5 Stars Works well for SD940IS.
Contrary to what another reviewer wrote, this case accommodates my SD940IS very well. It is initially a little tight (just as all leather cases) but as long as you put the cord through the hole in the case, it works beautifully. If you don’t thread through the top hole, then it will not close securely. Perhaps this could be easily solved by getting a different camera cord that didn’t have a plastic component?

SD780 measurements: 87 x 56 x 18 mm (3.4 x 2.2 x 0.7 in)

SD940 measurements: 89 x 55 x 20 mm (3.5 x 2.2 x 0.8 in)

Yes, the SD940 is ever-so-slightly longer (2mm) and thicker (2mm) than the SD780 but I can verify that the case does in fact fit my SD940. Extremely high quality case.

5 Stars Fits SD940 IS like a glove …
Reading the other review, I was skeptical if it would fit my new SD940 IS – which I really love for it’s size and handling. Anyway: I can confirm that PSC-1050 fits SD940 IS like a glove. Yes, the handle-string needs to be pulled all through – on the way in&out – which is normal and no big deal from my point of view. Then the flap closes perfectly = nice and snug. It’s quality leather will protect the camera perfectly w/o making it bulky. A bonus would have been a small pocket in the front or whereever for an extra battery. With storage cards in the range of 16 GB which I usually can’t “fill” in a month of vacation photos, there is no need to constantly carry another card arround. But, the battery is a different issue. Mine are usually drained after a couple days – and I really like to drain them fully to keep their life up. Therefore, yes, I have been running out of “battery power” from one day to the next and therefore a small clever pocket for a spare battery would be A BIG PLUS on every camera case. … other than that PSC-1050 is perfect also for Canon SD 940.

4 Stars Good Camera case
This is a good camera case. I owned the exact case for my Canon Powershot SX70. It fit snugly. Canon sells this same case for the Powershot SX200is. The fit is a bit looser. I would prefer a smaller snugger case but it is serviceable and a very well made case.

I ordered this camera case. It is snug, and I wish there was a place for batteries. I am happy with the case otherwise, and I am glad I didn’t buy the one at Walmart.

5 Stars Very well made case and quality material
Its very good case all around , my SX200IS fits in perfect. The only thing that I didn’t expect was that it doesn’t have clip-on type of thing to clip it on the belt but instead you have to run your belt through like you do on your pants which is inconvenient but not the end of world. It protects the camera very well and thats the main reason I got this for.
