5 Stars sansa easy to use mp3 player
I bought this as a gift. It has been very easy for the recipient to use. Syncing with windows media player is a breeze. The ability to add files through the folders is also nice. Recipient runs with the player and says the jogging does not cause any loss of sound. I will probably buy one for myself as well.
5 Stars Great deal for the price
I was shopping around for a decent MP3 player and chose this one. I have only owned one other mp3 player before this one, and that was a very old model that only held a few songs. I found this player to be very easy to use and even easier to load with music and videos. It uses a simple drag and drop system. No software is needed for this device except if you want to add pictures or video. In that case, Sansa has a free software program for converting videos and pictures.
The sound quality is good and the FM radio works pretty well. The album system could be better, in letting you create your own albums on the device. What Sansa reads is the album listed on the mp3. You need to label your mp3s accordingly for the device to recognize albums.
Overall it is a very good deal for the price. I have about 900 songs plus a few music videos on mine. I don’t use the cheap earpieces it came with, I use my own headphones. It is a good idea to purchase a cover for this. There are plastic ones on Amazon, but I have has better luck with silicone covers which you can get cheap on ebay.
I would definitely recommend this player. In fact I just bought the silver one for my husband for his birthday.
5 Stars WOW
My first MP3 player was a COwan D2 which I hated cause I really could never figure out how to convert and transfer the music. The SansaFuze is a wonderful product. Easy to use and great sound quality. My husband has an iPod and frankly SansaFuze is, in my opinion, superior.
5 Stars It’s great! It works on Ubuntu. Plug and Play!
It didn’t me long to figure out one of the best things about this product. I can only speak for Ubuntu users, but you have never seen a more plug and play device in your life. Those of you Linux people know what I’m talking about. You don’t have to worry about software or anything. Just plug it in, put your tunes on it, enjoy.
From what I understand, this is also the same with Windows and I don’t know about Macs, but for those nonconformists, this may be twice the size of a nano, but it’s still half the price. As for Zune users, try plug and play with that thing on anything other than a Windows machine.
Give open source products and products that work with open source a chance. You may be pleasantly surprised.
4 Stars A very good deal with a couple of drawbacks
This is a great little device. The storage capacity is equal to an i-pod Nano, greater if you use the available micro SD slot, and 8 GB is a lot of music. The sound quality is good, the interface and controls are mostly self-explanatory and easy to use, the battery life is impressive and the FM receiver is surprisingly sensitive. I wish it shipped with a complete manual, or at least something a bit more detailed than the fold-out quick start guide. The manual is available online but unless you print it out, you’re stuck sitting at your computer while you read it.
The biggest problem for me was the earbuds that come with the player. The sound is decent but they’re one size fits all, and they don’t–they’re too big for my ears so for me they’re prohibitively uncomfortable. Also, I somehow popped off the foam cover on one of them while trying to accommodate my ear to it, which rendered the set pretty much unusable when I couldn’t find the cover.
As it happens I already had a set of very good and very comfortable earbuds so I wasn’t stranded by the supplied ones, but anyone who has a similar problem with the fit and has to spend money on a high-quality replacement may come close to doubling the cost of the player, potentially putting the total cost of the system up in the Nano range, at which point you’re just as well off going with the big brand.
The one arena in which the Fuze pales next to the i-pod is creating a playlist. With the i-pod you just drag songs to an i-tunes playlist and sync it to the i-pod (so simple a caveman could do it!). Maybe there’s an equally easy way to make playlists for the Fuze, but I haven’t found it yet (anyone know?). What I’ve been doing is creating a Windows Media Player playlist, saving it as a m3u playlist and then manually (more or less) adjusting the list to match the SanDisk directory structure and copying it to the player. It isn’t terminally difficult but it’s annoying.
The earphone and playlist issues aside, this really is a good deal. I bought it to replace a stolen Nano and I’m happy that I did.

3 Stars Lacks easy PC interface
It comes with Rhapsody software, which isn’t particularly easy to use. You can’t use iTunes to manage content on your player, which isn’t surprising. Windows Media Player works but even that has it’s drawbacks in ease of use. iPods are much more user-friendly but are about twice as expensive. With the Fuse you can’t sort songs that are on the player, you have to sort them in your library and then import them into the player which is not convenient. This is a secondary player for me (I also have an iPod Classic) so it won’t be used as much.
5 Stars Fantastic
I bought this for myself a middle aged woman to listen to books on tape in the car while traveling for work. It works perfect. Then my kids started borrowing it. Then we did the research we decided that buying Rhapsody and 3 Sansas for each one of my kids was much less expensive than songs for $1.29 on Itunes. The Ipods are in the drawer. Then kids have fun together looking for unlimited downloads. The Fuze is just like our Ipods, just cheaper!!!
4 Stars nice mp3 player for the price
I got this for a gift. It is my first mp3 player. Transferring songs onto it from the computer is super easy. Just a simple click and drag. Downloads are very fast. My computer recognized the player quickly after it was plugged in. I wish the cables for charging and downloads were a different design. The Sandisk plug is big and tricky to unplug when you have the headphone jack inserted. Overall I am loving this player.
5 Stars love the product
I bought this to keep my e-books and songs in a different catagory, I had another mp3 player and I would be listening to a book instead of a song and had to pass the book, to get to a song. It was easy to download everything into it.
5 Stars the best
this is te best mp3 ever i just got it for my son and he loves it. If you have a choice between iopd and sansa choose sansa.

5 Stars inexpensive flash card
Good thing I bought this when I purchased a Canon PowerShot 960, since the camera comes with no memory card! I also discovered that the camera, in AUTO mode, creates jpegs that are 3 Mb or more, so it will not take long to stuff this card. I should have (and just now did) buy a couple of 8 Gb Kingston cards, which are not that much more expensive. Note that this is not the fastest card available (currently Class 6), so do not expect rapid transfers to a computer.
3 Stars Works as it is supposed to
Nice to have an alternative to the higher prices brand names, it works that same and is multi functional
5 Stars Tons of space for my music!!!
This little thing is just a god-sent card. Although is a Class-4 16GB SDHC it doesn’t affect at how I play my music and videos from my Cowon D2 4 GB Portable Media Player (Black) I’ve got 1/4 of my entire music collection in it. That’s about 4000 mp3 songs! So I have a lot of music for playing before changing songs, which, by the time being, I did not have the need to. And it always worked flawlessly. I can completely be confident that my data in it will be safe. I’m just waiting for the 32 GB version to drop prices. I hope this will occur soon since the advent of the higher capacity SDXC cards (note the ‘X’) is going to happen any time.
1 Star Slowest shipping of all time
Arrived about two months after I ordered it. Won’t be ordering from this group again to say the least. Absolutely pathetic service.
4 Stars Good so far
Well, I have filled up the entire card with high-def video and retrieved the data just fine, so my first impression of this data card is good. I know that a real test of data cards is over long-term use and re-use, but there are some that are also damaged or bad on the spot. My experience so far with Kingston is good, and I would recommend it.
