5 Stars How easy to get great pictures
Been looking for a good quality point shoot camera and I have found it in the Canon SD990IS. Got rid of my Pentax Program 35mm and very seldom even use my Minolta diamage camera anymore because it is so much easier to carry the pocket size SD990IS which takes as good pictures as my pervious cameras. Now I am seldom without my camera so when the old ” I wish I had the camera ” moment comes along I get the shot now. Used this for my son’s recent wedding and was plesently supprised with the quality pictures and only my poor composure tecnique caused some pictures that weren’t keepers.
5 Stars Excellent Camera!
I love this camera. I just sold my DSLR because I wanted something smaller but something that took great photos and this is it. The video is amazing too. I was on a job taking video and photos of a dam repair and the video I produced had amazing quality. If you are looking for a point and shoot and can afford it I would definitely recommend this one. Everyone I’ve shown the photos too loves it and can’t believe I only paid 299!
5 Stars Totally diggin’ it!
This camera takes better pictures than the $1000+ Nikon my husband bought me 2 years ago. I bought so I could have something to throw in my purse and it has been fantastic.
5 Stars Good camera
Good camera – great pictures; I am looking for a camera that takes pictures quickly. This has that feature but you cannot use the video screen; you have to look through a tiny view finder.
4 Stars Cannon Powershoot Products
The camera have good resolution and great new features but you have to read the manual to get the resolution you want. The only bad thing is older models have a safe lock in the battery and memory stick cover and this model not.
Canon PowerShot SD780IS 12 1 MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2 5 inch LCD Deep Red

It may be the slimmest Digital ELPH Canon has ever created, but the impact couldn’t be bigger. The PowerShot SD780 IS Digital ELPH captivates the senses with bold saturated colors and a daringly original design that matches the intensity of Canon’s most innovative camera technology. Even when picture-taking conditions seem pretty unforgiving, you’ve got Canon on your side. So the shots you used to miss are the images you’ll now be sharing, and the movies you never took before will be HD unforgettable.

5 Stars Pocket Camera
Easy to carry in your pocket. Image stabilization works well. Just finished two week vacation and batteries still have 3/4 charge.
5 Stars Great Camera
Just go to auto mode and shoot away. One of the smartest Auto modes I’ve used in any camera. Picture is kind of grainy at 100% but who cares. I don’t upload 4000×3000 images anyway. Great, solid feel. Buttons are small but still very much usable.
5 Stars Love it!
I love this camera! It takes beautiful pictures. I highly recommend it. But be ready to read the manual. The things this camera can do are amazing! I still have yet to learn what all the buttons do. But then again, I’m not that technologically savvy.
5 Stars Great little camera
This little camera is awesome! It fits great in my purse, it takes beautiful pictures and videos and is very easy to use.
4 Stars Small and Portable
I LOVE this camera, the quality of the pictures are incredible and the zoom is outstanding. My only issue is the static it has before you snap a photo and after you record a video. Aside from that I won’t trade it for any other

5 Stars love it!
I bought this Nikon a few months ago & love it so far! I’m by no means a professional photographer, but I do take TONS of pictures. This is my 3rd digital camera. First was a Canon that I had some major problems with after less than 2 years, had to send it off to be fixed then it broke again & I finally ended up buying a Sony. I’ve had the Sony about 2.5 years & have had no problems w/ it. I still like it for every day stuff (it’s small & fits in my purse), but I really wanted a camera w/ more zoom & this Nikon is perfect.
I went to Hawaii shortly after I bought the camera & it’s very easy to use. I learned all the features quickly w/out reading the manual. I took it everywhere, took about 500 pics & they all came out great. My friend who lives there loved it & says it’s better than her SLR. I got some wonderful pics of her kids on the beach using the “beach” setting. I also got great sunset pics w/ the “sunset & dusk/dawn” settings. The indoor pictures turn out great as well…the color is very nice.
The camera is not heavy, very comfortable to wear around your neck w/ the strap. I wish it would’ve come w/ a case, couldn’t even find one through Nikon. I ended up buying a Sony case from Walmart & it fits perfectly.
This is a great camera for someone who wants something a little more professional than a point & shoot, but doesn’t want the price or size of a SLR. When my friends see the lens on this thing, they think it’s really expensive & cannot believe I got it at Amazon for just over $200. Amazon definitely has the best price since you don’t pay shipping or tax. I did a lot of research & couldn’t decide what brand is best…I think you never really know what can happen w/ electronics. But I love this Nikon & would definitely recommend it.
5 Stars Quality and Value with a Nikor lens
This camera is easy to use and it takes unbelieveable pictures. The quality and size of the lens make all the difference in the world. I bought this camera for my wife and it was so good I bought one for my grandson who is into taking pictures. My wife loves it and my grandson really loves it. It is a little big for a point and shoot camera but well worth the bother of a slightly larger camera than say a smaller Coolpix. My wife had a small Coolpix but since she picked up the L100 she has not touched the smaller camera. Also the L100 takes regular batteries that last a long time and they are cheap and readily available. I was not in a hurry to buy a camera so I watched the ads for about 3 weeks and saved a lot of money.
5 Stars Very pleased
After some research I ended up buying the Nikon Coolpix L100. Overall I’m very pleased. The picture quality has been great. I take a lot of pictures of moving animals, and it can keep up. I was even able to use the sports mode to take pictures of hummingbirds. I’m not super camera savvy and this camera is easy for me to navigate. The menu and options are easy to use. I do have a couple complaints. I think it’s nuts that you HAVE to take the lense cap off to even turn on the camera. Which means you have to take off the lense cap even if your not taking pictures and just wanted to view them. I’ve also had a little bit of problems taking indoor photographs. After many trial pictures I think I’ve got it figured out, but the quality isn’t as good as outdoors. For the most part the auto mode works with what i’m using it for, but every once in a while I’ll have to change the setting or brightness to get the picture to turn out. But over all I’m extremely happy with it, it’s a major step up from my last camera and is a very easy point and shoot camera. It makes me feel like i’m a better photographer than I really am!
3 Stars Its OK but not great
I have purchased this camera recently and went to New Hampshire to shoot the beautiful foliage. The downloaded pictures on my computer does not look great as I expected from Nikon. It has no clarity so not sure if that 10MP is really working but portability is good, easy to handle and easy to click. Even my 6 yr old can operate it. But I am disappointed with the quality of the pictures so I am thinking of L90 now. Lets see..
5 Stars I quite like the Coolpix L100
The one drawback is not having an see-through optical view finder. Other than that, I am very happy with this camera. I have used the continuous shot feature to take pictures at a football game and while my grand kids splashed in a pool. It worked very well. Nearly all of my pictures are focused properly. Some were not — because I moved. I like the clarity and color of the pictures for nearly everything. Some purple flowers did come out way too blue, but in a different setting with more light I got beautiful purples. Over all, I like this camera and its pictures better than any other camera I have owned.

5 Stars Practical extra
Practical, however, a bit cumbersome if you’re in a hurry to take pix. Good for travel protection.
5 Stars Nice quality, perfect fit for Olympus waterprrof camera
Very pleased with quality and ease of use. The Olympus waterproof camera (mine is a 2009 model) fits perfectly in this case and the price was less than the generic camera cases sold at Target/Walmart.
5 Stars Great Case
This is a great case to keep in your purse and have your camera ready for any great picture. It’s soft, and the strap is comfortable on the wrist if necessary The camera is well protected in the case.
5 Stars Fits my Olympus Stylus 1010 perfectly. Nice belt loop too.
I did not want a hard case because they tend to be bigger and clunkier, and they also let the camera bounce around inside the hard shell. This neoprene case has what I would consider to be enough thickness to offer good protection/ padding to protect the camera from a fall from the height of someone’s waist or hands. I only plan to keep a spare battery and maybe a spare memory card in the case also, so the small (sleek-in my opinion) front pocket is perfectly sized for that application. FYI, there is also a small back pocket that the wrist strap came tucked into when I got my case. I would say there is enough room for another battery and memory card in that back pocket too- if anyone wanted to store that much battery and memory. I am just going to continue to tuck the wrist strap into that back pocket. (you can do this with the small end of the wrist strap still connected to the case)
The main reason that I am writing this is to let anyone with a Stylus 1010 know that that camera fits PERFECTLY inside this case.. From comparing the measurements of the case and camera (almost identical) I thought it might be too snug for easy removal/ input but the camera slides in and out just fine. It really is a perfect fit for the 1010. I consider this to be a perfect case for this camera at a GREAT price!
5 Stars Just perfect!
This camera case is just perfect. We have a new Olympus camera, and this case fits perfectly, and it’s thick and cushy enough to protect it, while small enough to fit in your pocket or purse. Comes highly recommended!!
