Sandisk SDSDB 4096 A11 4 GB Secure Digital High Capacity Flash Card

Sandisk SDSDB 4096 A11 4 GB Secure Digital High Capacity Flash Card

SanDisk is proud to announce their newest format to the SD memory card family: Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) This 4 GB capacity memory card is rated Class 2 for speed and performance based on SD 2.0 specifications. The SDHC memory card is a highly secure stamp-sized flash memory card, which can be used in a variety of digital products: digital music players, cellular phones, handheld PCs (HPCs), digital cameras, digital video camcorders, smart phones, car navigation systems and electronic books, that follows the SD 2.00 specifications. The SDHC card has a security feature for protection of copyrighted data. What is SDHC? To support the higher capacity needs, SD cards are now requiring a different design. The new SD 2.0 specifications – which supports 4 GB and up – is called Secure Digital High Capacity(SDHC). The SD Association has created and defined 3 speed classes to help you identify speed and performance capabilities/minimum requirements of SDHC cards and their SDHC host products. Details on the SD 2.0 specification:SDHC Cards address data (read and write) at numerous speeds. Many factors impede this performance. SDHC guarantees a minimum read and write speed necessary to handle recording high quality video and audio. The maximum card speed may vary, but you can always depend on SDHC cards to meet your SDHC host product’s high quality performance requirements. SDHC Compatibility Information Because SDHC works differently (supports the new higher capacity cards) this new card format is not backwards compatible with legacy SD format host devices.

4 Stars Seems to work fine for me
High capacity, low price. I don’t have a DSLR, so I’m not running up against the card’s write speed.

1 Star Dude, it’s a dud.
I was surprised in using this 4gb flash card, that it was totally useless. Could not reveal the pictures from the flash card via card readers. Yes, plural. Tried 2 different card readers. No idea what the problem is.

5 Stars 4 GB Drive
WARNING: Not all cameras and/or laptops can “recognize” a 4Gb SD drive.

My three year old Canon PowerShot A540 could not, and so did my faithfull 6-yr old Toshiba A25-S307(upgraded to the max). I was saved by a co-worker who had a 2Gb drive and his (newer) cameras could read my new 4Gb. The 4Gb’s price of $10+ (including shipping) made the “exchange” fair and painless!

Maybe Amazon/SunDisk can add a little warning to that effect!

5 Stars SD Memory Card
These inexpensive cards work fine in our Canon cameras, able to hold over a thousand pictures. They are a great deal.

4 Stars Sandisk SD Card
All is good. The capacity of this little card is simply amazing. Purchased as a gift, in combo with a Canon camera, for a family member. Working as expected.

Kingston 8 GB SDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card SD4 8GB

Kingston 8 GB SDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card SD4 8GB

Kingston Technology’s Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) memory card is designed to meet the storage demands of high-quality digital still and video cameras and other high-resolution image recording devices.

With an 8 GB capacity, the SDHC card offers larger-volume data storage and optimized recording performance with support for FAT 32 file formats. With a Class 4 rating, the card delivers a minimum data transfer rate of 4 MB per second for optimum performance with SDHC devices.

For added reliability and durability, this solid-state SDHC memory card is built of nonvolatile memory components and has no moving parts that could wear out or break. Although identical in size to today’s standard SD card, the new SDHC cards are designed differently and are only recognized by SDHC host devices. To ensure compatibility, look for the SDHC logo on cards and host devices such as cameras and camcorders. Fully compliant with the new Secure Digital Association 2.00 specification, this memory card is backed with a lifetime limited warranty.

4 Stars Good so far
Well, I have filled up the entire card with high-def video and retrieved the data just fine, so my first impression of this data card is good. I know that a real test of data cards is over long-term use and re-use, but there are some that are also damaged or bad on the spot. My experience so far with Kingston is good, and I would recommend it.

5 Stars Tons of space for my music!!!
This little thing is just a god-sent card. Although is a Class-4 16GB SDHC it doesn’t affect at how I play my music and videos from my Cowon D2 4 GB Portable Media Player (Black) I’ve got 1/4 of my entire music collection in it. That’s about 4000 mp3 songs! So I have a lot of music for playing before changing songs, which, by the time being, I did not have the need to. And it always worked flawlessly. I can completely be confident that my data in it will be safe. I’m just waiting for the 32 GB version to drop prices. I hope this will occur soon since the advent of the higher capacity SDXC cards (note the ‘X’) is going to happen any time.

5 Stars inexpensive flash card
Good thing I bought this when I purchased a Canon PowerShot 960, since the camera comes with no memory card! I also discovered that the camera, in AUTO mode, creates jpegs that are 3 Mb or more, so it will not take long to stuff this card. I should have (and just now did) buy a couple of 8 Gb Kingston cards, which are not that much more expensive. Note that this is not the fastest card available (currently Class 6), so do not expect rapid transfers to a computer.

1 Star Slowest shipping of all time
Arrived about two months after I ordered it. Won’t be ordering from this group again to say the least. Absolutely pathetic service.

3 Stars Works as it is supposed to
Nice to have an alternative to the higher prices brand names, it works that same and is multi functional
