Kingston 16 GB SDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card SD4 16GB

Kingston 16 GB SDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card SD4 16GB

Kingston Technology’s Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) memory cards are fully compliant with the new SD Association specification version 2.00. They are a new performance class of SD memory cards designed to meet the storage demands of high-quality digital still and video cameras and other high-resolution image recording devices.
Starting at 4GB, SDHC cards offer larger-volume data storage and optimized recording performance with support for FAT 32 file formats. In addition, Kingston’s SDHC cards use new speed “class” ratings known as Class 2, 4 and 6 that deliver a minimum data transfer rate (see specs) for optimum performance with SDHC devices.
Although identical in size to today⿿s standard SD card, the new SDHC cards are designed differently and are only recognized by SDHC host devices. To ensure compatibility, look for the SDHC logo on cards and host devices (cameras, camcorders, etc.). For added reliability and durability, our solid state SDHC memory cards are built of nonvolatile memory components and have no moving parts that could wear out or break. All cards are 100-percent tested and are backed by a lifetime warranty* and 24/7 live technical support.

4 Stars Good so far
Well, I have filled up the entire card with high-def video and retrieved the data just fine, so my first impression of this data card is good. I know that a real test of data cards is over long-term use and re-use, but there are some that are also damaged or bad on the spot. My experience so far with Kingston is good, and I would recommend it.

5 Stars Tons of space for my music!!!
This little thing is just a god-sent card. Although is a Class-4 16GB SDHC it doesn’t affect at how I play my music and videos from my Cowon D2 4 GB Portable Media Player (Black) I’ve got 1/4 of my entire music collection in it. That’s about 4000 mp3 songs! So I have a lot of music for playing before changing songs, which, by the time being, I did not have the need to. And it always worked flawlessly. I can completely be confident that my data in it will be safe. I’m just waiting for the 32 GB version to drop prices. I hope this will occur soon since the advent of the higher capacity SDXC cards (note the ‘X’) is going to happen any time.

1 Star Slowest shipping of all time
Arrived about two months after I ordered it. Won’t be ordering from this group again to say the least. Absolutely pathetic service.

3 Stars Works as it is supposed to
Nice to have an alternative to the higher prices brand names, it works that same and is multi functional

5 Stars inexpensive flash card
Good thing I bought this when I purchased a Canon PowerShot 960, since the camera comes with no memory card! I also discovered that the camera, in AUTO mode, creates jpegs that are 3 Mb or more, so it will not take long to stuff this card. I should have (and just now did) buy a couple of 8 Gb Kingston cards, which are not that much more expensive. Note that this is not the fastest card available (currently Class 6), so do not expect rapid transfers to a computer.

4 Stars Good for GPS
I am using this SD card for my PDA (asus 696) with GPS. I can put all my maps on there including some video’s and music! I don’t need the Iphone lol!

5 Stars Transcend 16GB SDHC
This card worked perfectly. It is a class 6 and I use it in my Sanyo VPC-HD1010. So far I have been very pleased (1 month) with this card. Based upon this experience, I plan to purchase a Transcend 32GB class 6 card next month.

1 Star Think a little before buying this card
Once upon a time, I was looking to get a larger SD card. 16GB for $40? Why not? I might not use all of it, but better more than less. Following that train of thought, I looked for the fastest 16GB card in the range. Transcend. An established company wouldn’t put out a lemon, would it? The 100 or so one star reviews were tempered by the 500 five star ones. I was feeling lucky, so to speak. Unfortunately, I was not (mostly). A week into college, it decided to brick up on me, right after a beach party event. To its credit, I had taken more than 1000 pictures with it over about three weeks. Still, $40 down the drain. I will never trust Transcend again, thus making the warranty useless.

Now, my point. If you’re looking at the ratings, 1/6 of the reviews are one star, for one reason or another. Most likely, you will be part of the group that has no problems. This card was EXTREMELY fast. HDTune got 17-20 mb/s consistently. It had more space than I could have ever filled. For those lucky people, this card is ideal. For the minority, this card will be hell. It has more space than you could fill over a two week cruise, before destroying every one of the pictures. Personally, I count myself lucky in that respect. All that was lost was a sunset event. But think: do you want to take that gamble with your precious memories? Do you?

3 Stars Had problems
I purchased two of these 16 GB SDHC memory cards. One failed within two weeks, the other within about one month. I may have just gotten some from a bad “batch” (I have used this brand before with no problems). If you purchase one, recommend fully testing it immediately after you receive it so if there is a problem, it can be taken care of under warranty.

5 Stars Works great in E-P1
I have had very good luck with Transcend cards, never a single problem.

These 16GB SDHC are fast and cheap.

When used with the Olympus PEN E-P1 it can store:

* 650 “Maximum Quality” (RAW -and- JPEG) photos

* 1085 RAW Photos.

* 1643 Maximum Quality JPEG images (”Large Super Fine”, no RAW)

* 10,000+ “normal” quality (but who would use this setting with the E-P1?)

4 Stars Good memory card!
I got this to use with my LG Dare, and it’s been pretty good and reliable!

8 Gigs is a LOT of space, so I’m glad I made the purchase.

That being said, every once in a while I have to pop it out and pop it back in (there sometimes are loading issues), but this is generally rare. I don’t know if it’s an issue with my Dare or with the card, but hey, for the price and amount of storage you get, you can’t go wrong with this!

I’d recommend, but want you to be aware of the problems I have with this card on my phone…

4 Stars Pretty good
For the price this was a great deal. I used this to upgrade my Blackberry pearl 8110 to 8GB and replace my ipod. Although when formatted it only came to 7.3GB total space, 91% isn’t terrible but its not superb. Overall I am very satisfied, quick delivery and great price.

5 Stars Working great!!!
I received my order in good condition and it works as I expected. Thank you very much!!!

5 Stars Ouch I got these for [...] bucks
Bout a year ago I got these, [...] bucks and its great. Still works perfectly. For the Nintendo DS worked like a charm. in the CycloDS Evolution games were lag free. In cameras, cell phones etc this will work perfectly. its just [...] bucks. Remember though its sdhc so be careful and chek if ur device supports it. All devices do these days but never hurts to double check.

4 Stars Had to pay more postage to get package
I paid $4.50 for postage they put .44 cents on envelope to ship it and it came to me 78cents postage due. Tell me what the $4.50 was for
